State Legislative Updates

TIA publishes a monthly e-newsletter tracking state legislation of importance to members and the tire industry The newsletter lists each piece of legislation by state, bill number, topic and status, and it provides a link to view the bill online.

The update is available each month electronically (in .pdf format) and is free of charge to those subscribed to the newsletter. To subscribe, members should reply to rlittlefield2@tireindustry.org and put "TIA Member - Subscribe to State Legislation Update" in the subject line. Once a member has subscribed, he or she will be added to the email list and will begin receiving the newsletter each month.

In 2022, TIA has tracked several thousand industry-related bills and is reporting on more than 200 of them in the e-newsletter that are considered critical to the association’s members. We ask that members who know of bills in their states to let us know. In 2022, TIA testified in 12 states and submitted comments on bills. Most hearings in 2022 were virtual. TIA utilized its grassroots efforts on the state level and successfully defeated harmful legislation that was being considered in a variety of states.
